The new technology of control by non-destructive techniques based on Eddy Current Testing has been introduced at the piston production site

At the piston production sites the vortex defectoscope is used to check the combustion chamber of the pistons produced for the latent defects such as shells and pores. Non-destructive control check based on eddy current testing differs in high accuracy. The depth of viewing of the equipment allows to see the structure through the piston for up to 3 mm. Whirling currents bend cracks, selecting zones with higher conductivity. The special program automatically determines compliance of production to set standards. As a result of use of a defectoscope the manufacturing defect invisible to a human eye, is excluded.
